The small cafe hidden away on Seaside Road
is full of surprises - pancakey goodness,
home to the biggest vegan breakfast you will
have ever seen and chunky French toast.
Amy’s cafe, as we’ve already mentioned on
Eastbourne Lifestyle, is home to some of the
best American style pancakes in Eastbourne.
It’s hard to review somewhere when you can’t
go and not eat the pancakes. It an issue we
know, but we will be banging on about these
pancakes forever it would seem, but they
really are that good.
They are small, thick, fluffy and perfectly
cooked just like the ones we’ve had in LA,
actually they could be better.

Now this is a deal breaker for us in
restaurants/cafes - not enough maple syrup -
not at Amy’s though. You can pour your own
to your heart’s content.
Amy’s Cafe
✩ Home to the best pancakes in Eastbourne - we take
a visit to Amy's cafe one Saturday morning to get our
pancake fix ✩
Another reason we’re obsessed with
pancakes is the crispy bacon.
Proper crispy bacon. Can’t stick your
fork in it crispy bacon. Just the way it
should be.
How could these pancakes be ANY
better we hear you ask? They have an
option to add ice cream to your breakfast
pancakes and of course that is what
we did. You’ll be surprised how good
a scoop of mint choc chip ice cream
tastes alongside bacon and pancakes.
Next up the avocado on toast, which
should be called loaded avocado on
toast. It’s huge and we added extras.
Poached eggs and four slices of bacon
on top - yes please!
