a bit like churros or doughnuts but
without all of the sugar. They were
also delicious and the callaloo part
of it was full of so much flavour and
aromatic.
For mains we both went with jerk
chicken because we love jerk
chicken. We had to have, we
couldn’t not have it and we’re so
glad that we ordered it. We were
worried that it might be far too
spicy for us, but Bready assured us,
that it does have a kick, but it wasn’t
too hot. What turned up was an
absolute feast. There was a huge
amount of food on the plate, so
come hungry guys. It was amazing.
The sauce was definitely punchy,
but in a good way, we enjoyed every
single bite. We would definitely
order this one again and again and
again. The chicken for this dish was
marinated for 48 hours in Bready’s
secret recipe spice mix and then
smoked in a homemade jerk pan -
the Jamaican way. We really wish
you could taste things through a
computer screen because THIS.
WAS.SO.GOOD.
And as always, of course, we had to
have pudding. We opted for
Jamaican ginger and toffee cake
with a coconut rum cream and
the jackfruit and strawberry with
Jamaican ice cream and Mango
coulis. Both were absolutely deli-cious
and the prefect way to finish
of a three course meal. When we’re
next at Bready’s we will be
ordering exactly the same thing all
over again. Absolutely fantastic.
All in all we had a fabulous evening
at Bready’s and we will definitely be
coming back again. It was a lovely
atmosphere, great food and a funny
evening. With Bready’s Delights
being the only Jamaican restaurant
