We tried so many fantastic dishes, which
consisted of Paneer fingers, chilli chicken,
garlic naan, tandoori sharing platter and
mutton curry.
Now let us tell you all about the paneer
fingers. Paneer is crispy Indian cheese,
fried fingers in a lightly spiced batter and
we can happily say that this is the best dish
ever. Possibly better than any halloumi
fries that we have tried in Eastbourne
before and that is one bold statement as
we love halloumi fries.
The chilli chicken was just beautiful, every
bite was better than the next and the
flavour was fantastic. The chilli chicken is
a fiery popular indo-chinese dish made
of soya sauce, garlic and pepper. This was
really so great, we could eat it all day long.
The taste is fantastic without setting your
mouth on fire. We suggest that you all or-der
your own chilli chicken, do not share,
you will regret it if you do. This also goes
for the paneer fingers. Do not share. Then
we moved onto the mutton curry, this
curry was so so so good. The flavour and
the meat were amazing together and again
not too spicy, just an enjoyable curry with
lots of sauce which was perfect as it was
then enjoyed with a naan bread to mop up
all of it. The last dish that we tried from
the tapas menu was sag paneer, which is
another cheesy option. It included cottage
cheese tossed with wilted spinach, garlic,
coriander and a dash of cream. It was a
great little side dish and went well along-side
everything else that we had at our
banquet. And lastly from the tapas menu
we also had a garlic naan bread. Which
was amazing. We weren’t sure that you
could ever describe a naan as amazing,
but it was the best one that we have ever
tasted.
We also went for one dish from the main
meal section of the menu and that was
tandoori platter. This came with chicken
tikka, chicken kebab and a lamb kebab.
Served with rice on the side, mint sauce,
curry sauce and a naan bread. We love,
love, loved it. The meat was so well cooked
and every single bite tasted amazing. The
chicken tikka was so full of flavour and the
lamb had quite a kick to it. Highly recom-mended
and lots of food on the platter to
keep even the hungriest of people happy.
We shared this so that we could try eve-rything,
but keep this one to yourself. So
moreish and the curry sauce is really great.
Having eaten almost the entire menu,
washed down with some Tiger beer and a
glass of rosé, we left feeling full and
content. The small tapas sharing dishes is a
fantastic way to try lots of different dishes
that you wouldn’t have tried before. They
might be small, but they are big in flavour
and filling. We absolutely loved Tuk Tuk
and we definitely recommend that you get
yourself down there and try every single
dish on the menu. And do it for the gram
- its makes for a great square.
For a curry restaurant with a twist, Tuk
Tuk is hard to beat. It’s also great value for
