Inside it, well rather on top of it was beetroot, grilled
halloumi and sundried tomatoes. It was so tasty. The
beetroot was cut super thin as was the halloumi.
We’ve never actually had halloumi like that and it was
amazing. All three ingredients tasted so good together
and the sun dried tomatoes were just the icing
on the cake. We’re obsessed with sun dried tomatoes,
so we were happy that she chose that as one of the options.
This should definitely be on your ‘must eat’ list.
Then there was the avocado, halloumi and tomato
toasted sandwich on sourdough bread. This doesn’t
look like it would fill you up, but we were absolutely
stuffed. It doesn’t get much better than halloumi and
avocado in a sandwich really. We could actually eat
another one of these right now.
Now onto the drinks, which aren’t normally an
important part of the review, but in Coffee & Carrot
the drinks are so important. They have a lot on
offer - mainly a whole smoothie/juice menu, which
is incredible, there is so so much to choose from. We
had the Skinny Green smoothie, which we were told
was the most popular one on the menu and we could
see why. Even more importantly it was just £4! To be
honest we’d pay anything for a smoothie because we
hate tidying up after making one! Lazy we know, buy
who has time for that.
Inside the Skinny Green was Pineapple, spinach,
apple, cucumber and lime. It tasted so good. The
predominant flavour we would say was the apple and
pineapple, but it’s good to know that you’re also getting
your veggies in as well without even knowing it.
On our next visit we will
be trying Beginner Green
which has apple, celery,
lemons, orange and
spinach in it. Seriously it
sounds so good and
healthy. Most importantly
healthy. They also have a
smoothie for detoxing -
that one is called the
UnBeetable. We bet you
can’t guess what’s in that!?
Did you guess? We’ll tell you
anyways - beetroot, apple
and lemon. And
one for a hangover cure,
which is called the Adios
Coffee. Inside this one you
will find apples, carrots,
green tea, honey, lemon, oranges and bee pollen.
How good does that one sound?! If that doesn’t
make you feel better, nothing will.
They also have different flavoured matcha lattes,
which we didn’t even know was a thing. They had
two flavours in the shop and we went for the
mermaid match. We loved it. Not overly sure what
the taste was, but it was lovely and sweet. We also
went on the internet to find it and buy it after our
visit, we liked it that much.
Verdict - Coffee & Carrot might just be our new
Saturday morning go to breakfast/ brunch spot.
There is so much that we need to try on the menu.
Mainly all of the smoothies. The matcha latte was
incredible.
