It turned out, unbeknown to me that my skin
was dry and dehydrated. So the texture was
almost rough to touch, but it didn’t look like it
was dry at all.
The process itself was pain free - i’ve heard
some comments about it being painful, but I
can confirm that, that is not correct. It’s pretty
relaxing. After the dermaplaning was done,
Cora then covered my face in aloe vera, which
is good for rosacea and it calms it.
I left writing this review for a fair few weeks
now as I wanted to tell you all about the treatment
of course, but how my skin felt immediately
after and if there were any benefit to be
had in the weeks following.
I have to say that this treatment is by far the
most beneficial thing that I have ever had
done to my skin. My rosacea was immediately
less pigmented. I guess that would be the right
word. The redness went down by way over
70%. It was instantly noticeable. And to say
that my skin was glowing in the days following
would be an understatement. Actually
GLOWING!
Not to mention, now that all the fuzz had
gone and my skin had been exfoliated, how
soft my skin was. I couldn’t stop touching it.
It was so unbelievably smooth - like a babies
butt. Putting on make-up was so much fun as
it just glided on effortlessly, not that I needed
to wear it.
I’d gone from wearing a full face of double
wear foundation, to using a tinted moisturiser
or a bit of tan to get me through the day. And
the results continued. My skin was incredible.
Even my friends noticed. Every single person
I met up with for a catch up mentioned my
skin - without fail. All my beauty lotions and
potions were being absorbed and my skin was
looking great.
Now onto the part that scares people the most
- what happens to your hair on your face. Yes
your hair does grow back, no it doesn’t grow
back longer, darker or thicker. In my opinion
it has grown back exactly the same as before.
It doesn’t grow back stubbly like a guy who
shaves, not even remotely close. So you are
safe!
How often should you have dermaplaning? It
is only now (as I type this), 7 weeks later, that
I can tell by my skins texture, that I should
book myself in for another treatment. Which I
will be doing for evermore. Honestly, try it for
yourself you will not regret it.
I can’t rate Cora highly enough - she’s an
actual skin magician. As mentioned, I have
rosacea and she knew exactly what to do for
my skin. She knows exactly what she is talking
about and she really loves what she does,
which shines through.
