We took a trip to the cat cafe and this is what we thought
We’re dog people if we’re telling the truth, but in the name of research we booked ourselves in to The Mad Catter cat cafe on Station Parade for a little look.
First up for anyone concerned – the cats can’t escape out the front door – there are 2 doors to enter before you get into the cafe and neither of those doors are open at the same time.
The cats were so freaking cute. Honestly you will leave wanting to go home and buy a kitten – so be prepared for that one.
The cats are super placid and do come up to you when they want to – which is normally when there is food on the table. They are super friendly and just wander off when they are done with you.
The cats are able to chill in the cafe, dosing on window hammocks and playing on the cat scratching posts.
There are of course rules that you must adhere to such as no picking up the cats, no feeding the cats and do not wake up a sleeping cat.
Whilst we were there we had a sandwich, crisps and a hot chocolate, which were all lovely. Next time we go, we will be eating all of the cakes.
Have you been to the cat cafe yet?
