The Merrie Harriers

If this weather doesn’t make you want to find a cosy country pub, then nothing will. We were deciding what to do on a rainy, cold Tuesday night. And we opted to head on down to The Merrie harriers in Cowbeech. It’s just dow the road from our HQ and we never even knew it existed. Has anyone been Cowbeech before? It is now home to the home that our future selves want to buy – you’ll see what we mean when you go down for a bite to eat –  and of course The Merrie Harrier.

We weren’t kidding – just look at the options. We were fully thinking about having pudding for starters and starters for pudding  but we’ll get to the pudding in a bit, they are so GOOD.

Some many amazing options to choose from. We all wanted the same, but for the sake of the review we all got a different meal – que crazy food envy. We had …..

Chilli con carne and rice

Parkin pudding with butterscotch sauce – this is what The Merrie Harriers is famous for – it’s Parkin Pudding. We have no idea what it was, but it was amazing and if you do one thing this weekend is go down for this. It’s cakey goodness and it’ll seriously leave you wanting more. In-fact we may just go back tomorrow.

If you want to check out their daily updated menu – you can visit here. They have Ladies nights on a Tuesday where all you lucky gals eat for half price. And one for the boys – Steak night Thursday. Let us know if you’ve eaten here before.
