Winter Beauty Must-Haves

2015 winter beauty must haves 2
Winter is brutal when it comes to our beauty routines. All the changes in temperature – going from a windy, chilly outside and coming into a toasty central heated house can play havoc on our skin. So far this year we have chapped lips, dry hands and skin that feels like you haven’t drank water in about 8 weeks. Here are our current winter saviours for all of the above problems.

H20 – The cheapest and most probably the best beauty treatment out there. Water, water, water. Seen as we are mainly made up of water this would make sense wouldn’t it. The cause of dry lips can usually be put down to not enough water, as with skin and so on. We’ve been using a Brita water filter bottle – so easy to get your 8 glasses a day.

Vaseline – Although it doesn’t necessarily repair any damage, it does protect your lips from the outside elements. So if you’re outside for a prolonged period we suggest giving this a go. We’re loving the new Queen Bee Vaseline tub.

Paw Paw cream – This is handy to have on stand by – it’s an all access beauty survivor cream. got a cold? Apply some of this cream to your nose to help with redness and dryness that tissues can cause. Dry lips? Paw Paw to the rescue. Need a cuticle remedy – you guessed it Paw Paw cream. Dry Skin in anyway shape or form – and you guessed it. For £5 it really is a must have.

Lip Balm – Really an obvious one here girls, apply apply apply.

Moisturiser – There may be a bit of trial and error until you find one that goes well with you skin. Also don’t be afraid to spend a bit of money, you really do get what you’re paying for. Our fave – SBC vitamin ACE day and night cream – it changed the moisturising world for us. Perfect for day or night and makes a great make up base.

Exfoliator – It really should be an essential all year round, but we feel that you should use it more in the Winter to keep you skin fresh and well…… beautiful. We have tried them all and don’t necessarily prefer one from the other, so the smell is what wins us over. Our current fave is Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel. Not your standard exfoliator as there are no exfoliaty (made up a word there) bits in it, but it does the job amazingly.
