Eastbourne is still a town that we feel is totally undiscovered, as a group we have lived here for most of our lives and still couldn’t tell you where you can get the best steak in town. Shameful if you ask us. Having said that here is a round up of our favourite places to eat in town right now. We will constantly be updating it and will let you know when we do.
1. Picassos – Lets face it, it’s everyone’s go to lunch/ dinner restaurant. It doesn’t let you down and does some of the MOST amazing salads. If you’ve never been to Picassos you must have another secret restaurant you hide yourself in, so do let us know. Perfect for pasta and carbs, lots of carbs.
2. Bill’s – It’s still a bit of a novelty because it’s new, but well worth the visit. The burgers are seriously to die for and currently takes the title of ‘the best burger in Eastbourne’. If you like your fry ups to look nice and maybe even a little bit posh then this is your Sunday brunch spot, not to mention a Fish Finger sandwich and the sweet potato fries. Just go and try it out – that’s an order. You can read our review here and here.
3. The Beach Deck – A great place to sit back and watch the world go by – especially when it’s sunny. It really does make you appreciate where you live. Things you shouldn’t miss: everything on the breakfast menu and the cake. We’re still testing out the rest – but you can read our review here.
4. The Loft – We all know where the loft is and we all know they do lunch right? Well if you haven’t ventured in for food yet, you need to. They changed the menu a few months back, but they have kept our firm favourites. You have to try the sweet chilli chicken wraps with seasoned wedges – lets say that again- seasoned wedges. You’ll understand when you read the menu choices. Also if you just want a quick snack along with a cocktail that’s not a problem – pitta and houmous is our go to fave. Watch this space, full review coming up soon.
5. Pomodoro e Mozzarella – Another Italian, but this place is well worth the visit. The food speaks for itself and the Tagliatelle al pollo e porcini is AMAZING, all it’s missing is a bit of broccoli and it would be beyond perfect. Review is coming soon.
