Just because it’s Valentine’s Day and you’re single (like us), it doesn’t mean you have to mope around feeling sorry for yourself. Grab some of your besties and have a girls night in or night out (depending on what you fancy). We’re opting for a girls night in with some of our favourite Valentine’s movies and of course a bottle of wine or two. Here is a list of our fave V-Day movies, which we will be watching on our Girl’s Night In. What are your faves?
Pretty Women
A love story classic – we all know the story by now. Fantastic little love story for V-Day.
Sex and the City
The Big and Carrie saga almost gives us all hope in love, that one day things will work out with the one that you want to. It all works out in the end.
Friends With Benefits
A fantastic feel good movie. Love can take you to unexpected places and that is exactly what happens with JT and Mila. A happy ending, which is what we all like to see, especially when it comes to love.
Valentine’s Day
Just hilarious. It follows different love stories throughout the lead up to Valentine’s day. Single people, married, break ups – it covers it all.
Ghost
No description needed – just a lovely story. If you haven’t seen it, have tissues at the ready.
She’s All That
Teenage love story fun at it’s best. The lines are cheesy, but it’s a feel good movie none the less.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Who hasn’t seen this movie? Such an iconic film. It’s a great love story and it makes us what to be Audrey Hepburn. One of the first Audrey classics that we watched and we loved.
Hitch
A movie with Will Smith in? Yes please. Hilarious, silly and a happy ending. Just perfect. Plus you get to fall in love with Will Smith all over again.
Casablanca
If you haven’t seen this movie, put it at the top go your list. It’s a must watch. It’s one of the most popular movies of all time. At the first viewing – we were annoyed (we won’t give anything away), however when we thought about the reasoning behind everything, it all made sense. It’s about love and sacrifice. How does it end? You’ll have to watch.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
This movie will have you in stitches all the way through. Such a fantastic cast – Russell Brand is brilliant. If you’re feeling bait down in the Valentine’s day dumps, then this one is for you.
