The Perch open air cinema idea will not happen this year
A few weeks a go now The Perch mentioned that they were in the process of trying to set up and open air cinema for an evening and that they would update us all when they had more information. Well now they do and it isn’t the news that anyone hoped for.
In a post on The Perch FB page they said …
“As many of you will know, we run a massive outdoor charity cinema at our other site in Lancing. It’s ace; we love doing it. It’s free to come to, and it raises money for a fantastic local cause. We’ve been trying for a couple of months to bring our outdoor cinema to the park in Eastbourne. But, unfortunately, we can’t get it through the council process. We’ve had a go at doing it a couple of ways, but it seems we’ve underestimated the length of the decision making process by a few months. So, no good for this year, but we’ll start the process for next year soon.“
Sad news, but fingers crossed for next year
