So here we have our second instalment of the lazy girls guide. This week we’re going to show you how to make Christmas cookies without actually doing any baking at all. We don’t want to spend all of our time in the kitchen now do we? We’ve got festive things to be getting on with.
What you need:
Icing sugar
Food colouring – we went for red and green
Sprinkles of choice – we couldn’t find any Christmas ones, so normal had to do
Biscuits of choice – Ginger biscuits & NICE biscuits
Mix up your icing on 2 bowls – add the water a teaspoon at a time, until you get your desired thickness. You don’t want it to be too runny. If it is, just add some more icing sugar. Whilst you’re doing this add in the food colouring a little bit at at time until you get the colour that you wanted. We were just gong for traditional Christmas colours.
To ice the biscuits we used a teaspoon and added a teaspoon at a time, moving it along the biscuit to make sure that we covered the biscuit and attempted to leave a border free from icing.
Add all your sprinkles in the way that you want – it’s entirely up to you. Then leave so that the icing can set and there you have it – The lazy girls guide to Christmas biscuits. You can pretend you’ve been slaving away in the kitchen all afternoon and nobody will know. We’re taking some into work tomorrow to share with everyone.
