The show that everyone is talking about – The Haunting of Hill House
We’re fully in the Halloween spirit right now. We have been since October 1st. The decorations are up and we’ve been making our way through our favourite Halloween movies each night. We’ve recently added into the huge list of Halloween must watches list The Haunting of Hill House. Not to be watched alone, and not to be watched with the lights out *insert laughing emojis*
If you haven’t been on social media or Netflix for that matter, for a couple of weeks you may not have heard the huge hype around this TV series, so we will fill you in.
Whats it about?
It’s based on a novel by Shirley Jackson. Might be worth a read for some Halloween scares. The Crain move into Hill House with the intention on fixing it up and then selling it on and making lots of money in the process. But then the family quickly become aware of the evil spirits in the house. After a heartbreaking loss the family are forced to leave the house. In October 2018, 26 years after the hauntings, the Crain siblings and their estranged father, Hugh, reunite after tragedy strikes again, forcing them to confront their inner demons from their shared childhood while mourning their losses.
What Eastbourne Lifestyle thought?
Ghosts scare us so much and then our imaginations go into overdrive. So we tend to avoid anything ghost related. But we quite enjoyed this and definitely worth the watch for some Halloween viewing. Not for the faint hearted.
