The Dolphin Pub Temporarily Closed

The Dolphin pub temporarily closed

The Dolphin pub announced on Facebook over the weekend that they will be temporarily closing the pub due to a member of staff testing positive for Covid.

The statement said …

” One of our team members contacted us this morning to inform us that they received a positive Covid test this morning, we have not been contacted by track and trace yet but having received the news we have decided to close our doors until we can be given the green light that it is safe to open.
I’d like to take this moment to reassure you all of the steps we have taken in response to this to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible. The team member who has tested positive has not been in work since the middle of last week and felt well during their shift only starting to display symptoms hours after finishing their shift. We take temperatures of all our team upon arrival at work and no one would come in if they are symptomatic. We have taken guidance from the NHS helpline and all staff members who have been in contact with the team member are now self isolating for 14 days.
We would like to reassure you all that since reopening on 4th July we have kept impeccable standards of enhanced cleaning, distancing, hand washing and mask wearing to minimise risk to all.
We have taken our responsibility to our team and community seriously and upon receiving this information we have taken the decision to close whilst we await contact from track and trace and to carry out a thorough deep clean of the pub.

If you had a booking with us this weekend we have tried to contact you this morning to explain the situation and we apologise for letting you down.
