Yesterday we went to The Cavendish Hotel Spa to have a morning of pampering, followed by an afternoon of afternoon tea eating. So we thought that we should share our day with you. A few of you have already asked us about the spa on Facebook and also about the cost of the afternoon tea. We were lucky enough to get a Groupon deal where we got a spa treatment and also afternoon tea for £20 each. Absolute bargain of you ask us.
The spa itself was lovely. They use ESPA products, which we love. Once we got to the spa we were guided through to the changing rooms where we found towels, slippers and dressing gowns all laid out. We changed and were then shown through to the relaxation room – which also included an aromatherapy room, sauna and a shower.
We loved the aromatherapy room, there was sparkly fairy lights in the ceiling and they seating was hot stone, which we loved. We stayed in the relaxation room whilst we were all getting our treatments done and then we chilled out a bit in that room afterwards. Now onto the treatments – 3 of us opted for massages and 1 opted for a facial.
The massages were lovely and relaxing and we almost wish we went for an hour instead of just half an hour – it goes way too quickly. The one who had a facial left the spa glowing, which is exactly what you want your skin to look like after a good facial.
After we were done with the relaxation room, we headed back to the changing room to get ready before we headed on down to afternoon tea. As always the Cavendish put on a fabulous afternoon tea. There is always far too much, the staff are always friendly and very attentive. Our waiter yesterday we so lovely and sweet, he definitely loves his job. We will let the pictures do the talking for us with regards to the food – so so yummy, we wish we were back there now and not sitting in front of a computer at work.
If you’re thinking of booking a similar day out, we can strongly recommend the Cavendish Hotel.
