Last week we headed on down to The Cavendish Hotel to have an afternoon tea and we have to say that it was our favourite so far. Seriously just look at the pictures – there was so much variety and an awful lot of food to choose from.
What we loved most about the tea was that there was different bread choices – brown, white and a baguette.
It was beautifully served and the staff that were on hand were so lovely and friendly.
It was our first ever tea cake experience, kinda weird, just a roll with raisins in? Still we loved it and ate it all up.
The fruit made the presentation that little bit more special and the fruit made for a great treat whilst having a break in between eating all of the food.
And just look at how the cream was displayed, it looked like ice-cream and had coco powder sprinkled on top with some yummy berries.
The scones were out of this world, however we couldn’t eat a whole one as we were getting stuffed. We will definitely eat the scones first next time.
Now onto the good stuff – THE CAKES. Such a fabulous selection and a lot more than we have seen at other afternoon teas. The Victoria Sponge was 100% the fave but the others came a close second, third and fourth.
We highly recommend testing the afternoon tea for yourself as it is worth every single penny. It would also be amazing on a warm hot sunny day as the views would be that much more stunning.
