This year we’re on a mission to find the best roast dinners in Eastbourne. We’re going to go back to the usual haunts, as you’ll see if you continue reading, but we’re also going to try out what the pubs have to offer. We’re also going to give are least favourite place for a roast another go (we won’t mention who it is again). Yesterday we started with an old favourite – Toby Carvery. We were a bit excited that you can now book online, so without the need to pick up a phone, we logged on and made a booking, turned up and didn’t have to wait at the bar to be seated. Woo hoo! Now don’t hate us – we absolutely love the Toby Carvery – all you can eat, as much stuffing as you can fit on your plate and unlimited gravy (Listen up The Farm – gravy and lots of it is a must), which is very important. They are slightly stingy with the meat, but that’s ok we’ll just triple up on potatoes! Now to say that Toby Carvery is the best roast in Eastbourne, would be like saying that McDonalds has the best burger in town, it’s just not true and we’d just be voting for convenience. However they are pretty high up there – but we’re also writing this whilst absolutely starving – it’s lunch time don’t you know. Did we mention it’s only £9.95? Definitely gone up in price since the last time we went, but still great value for money.
If you have any places you think make a fab roast then let us know, drop us a message on Facebook or Instagram and we’ll be sure to include them.
