Yesterday we headed on down to Bannatynes in Hastings to have a Christmas girlie day out and obviously to share with you, out thoughts on the spa itself. We managed to get some great deals for discounted spa days from a website called BuyAGift – You will find all the current Bannatynes offers here. We went for the 2 for £57 and we each received a back massage for 25 minutes. However they do different deals all of the time – last week they had a great Groupon deal for 2 treatments at 30 minutes each for £25.
The spa itself is in the gym building, on the left hand side, once you walk in. The ladies at reception were so friendly and helpful. You have to hire a robe and slippers at the cost of £3, which is a bit strange for a spa and we’ve never been asked to pay for the use of a robe and slippers at any previous spa days. We weren’t offered towels, which we have been again on other spa days.
The spa section was lovely and relaxing. You can go through and just sit in the waiting are, which has lovely comfy sofas. Water, coffee and tea for you to sit down and relax with. Or you can pop into the relaxation room, which has heated beds to just chill out in – we definitely liked this little treat. Worth going just to do that really.
The massages were AMAZING! Very relaxing and you definitely leave wishing you booked in for longer. After feeling fully pampered we went back into the relaxation room feeling pretty zen and ready for some girly gossip. However it was a relaxation room and we didn’t want to annoy the other guests so we went to the jacuzzi.
The swimming pool and jacuzzi were pretty quiet when we went. which was great for us. We opted for the jacuzzi though as it was so lovely and warm, we were thinking about braving it to the outdoor jacuzzi, but we decided that we weren’t brave enough to go out in the cold! After we were fully wrinkled we decided it was time for a girly lunch. Them menu at the gym was pretty disappointing so we went over to the hotel section and ate in their bar area. This was the best idea we had. The food was fantastic. We will do a review on that in the next wee or so, but if you just can’t wait the fillet steak baguette and the fajitas come highly recommended.
All in all we had the most prefect relaxing day – the only issue we’d say was the fact that the toilets were so far away from the spa area. Have a look for some of their current offers and treat yourself to a bit of pampering.
