We’ve been testing out all sorts of products recently and we though that we should introduce you to Sleek’s Matte Me Lip Cream. We’ve been testing out matte lipsticks as of late (seen here), so we thought we’d see how a lip cream would be in a matte as creams are usually pretty glossy.
The colour pay out was amazing and the staying power was an all day long kind of power. Literally apply correctly otherwise you’re stuck. We suggest if you’re delving into the world of matte lip creams that you make sure you prep your lips properly – this step is essential as it shows up every single crack, dry patch etc – you can read our how to here.
Once applied, it turns out glossy, however goes matte within 30 seconds. once set it does not budge as mentioned earlier. We had to get the coconut oil out to take this off.
The colour we opted for was Fandango purple and it came out as a lovely fuscia. We find 2 layers works best for this and if you’re not overly pleased with the matte finish, you can add a swipe of gloss over the top.
There are 5 other colours in this collection and we will definitely be trying out the rest of them.
