Here’a fun, can’t go wrong halloween activity for the kiddos. A twist in rice krispie cakes. Mini rice krispie pumpkin treats. Easy to make, no one gets burned and the kids can do all the hard work, whilst you do all of the eating. It’s a win win really.
What you need:
* 3 tbsp butter
* 5 cups mini marshmallows
* Orange candy melts or orange food colouring
*6 cups rice krispies
* Tootsie rolls – Tesco have them in USA section
* Green frosting
How to:
* Melt butter over med/ low heat
*Stir in marshmallows as they melt
* Add your candy melts/ food colouring until you have reached desired colour
* Once all combined, stir in rice krispies – slowly!
* remove pan from heat and continue to mix until the cereal is fully coated.
* Leave to cool – until you can handle it and then start making your pumpkins.
* When adding tootsie rolls (cut in half) stick your thumb down the centre to create space.
* Add green frosting to make leaves or vines.
* Eat them all up!
See you can’t even tell which pumpkin is the real one can you?! Ha ha!
