6 reasons you should go and watch Rocketman
1. Taron Egerton as Elton is amazing
Taron really did such a fantastic job at playing Elton John. He was AMAZING!
2. You’ll enjoy it even if you’re not an Elton fan
There were so many songs that we loved, but didn’t know that Elton John sang them. One example of that being Benny and the Jets. Absolutely no idea who we thought sang it, but it’s one of our faves. And we enjoyed listening to the songs that we did know Elton sang, but didn’t really like.
3. Learning a bit about Elton John’s Life
It was really interesting to learn about Elton’s life and pretty sad at the same time.
4. The Song Lyrics
We’re unsure if this was the way that the movie was written, but all the songs came up by something happening in Eltons or Bernies life at that time. And we’ve never paid a huge amount of attention to the lyrics before and they are good.
5. Elton’s Stage Costumes
They were absolutely insane and having never paid any attention to Elton John before, it was great to see what he was like and what he wore way back in the day. The devil horn costume is up there with one of our faves.
6. The Way The Story Was Told
It was a pretty clever way to re-tell his story. We won’t say too much on that, just incase you go to see it for yourself. But the unravelling of Reggie/Elton was well done.
