Where to go stand up paddle boarding in Eastbourne
We are not water sport people at all – but in the name of research we decided to try something that we wouldn’t usually do. This week as the weather was so beautiful we decided to go paddle boarding for the first time ever. We’ve heard about a place down at the Cuckmere – so off we went to explore.
You are able to hire a paddle board, paddle, life jacket and a wetsuit, if the weather calls for it – all for an absolute bargain. All of that and an hour of paddle boarding costs just £12.
You’re left to your own devices once you are in the water to have a little paddle about. Once in the water we went left and continued until we got to a wooden post and then turned around. That took less than hour, but we forgot a watch and also the current was pretty strong so we were tired. It definitely felt like we got a work out whilst we were at it – so it’s a win, win. You can find out more information about times and location here.
It’s a great way to spend a sunny morning and we can’t wait to go again.
