Non Christmas movies to stream at home this December
Mulan (Disney+)
The new Mulan is incredible. If you haven’t seen this one yet, it is a MUST watch. It is the same as the original, but different, if ya know what we mean.
Prom (Netflix)
A group of Broadway stars shake up a small Indiana town as they get behind a teen who just wants to attend prom with her girlfriend. Full on musical feels – 100% didn’t think we’d like this, but we do.
Cats (Amazon)
Now just incase, like us, you were curious to know what Cats is about and you’ve never seen it on the West End. Well let us tell you – it is all about Cats – surprise. The whole story is based around alley cats and what they believe in. So much singing. Jennifer Hudson was great in it.
Emma (Now TV)
It stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Emma Woodhouse, a young woman who interferes in the love lives of her friends.
Apparently the movie Clueless was a loose adaptation of the novel Emma and that is why we will be watching it.
Little Women (Amazon)
The 2019 adaptation of Little Women. There is a lot of back and forth in terms of time lines in this movie, but it was absolutely incredible albeit sad – we cried so much.
Selena (Netflix)
Did you watch the movie decades a go? It starred Jennifer Lopez before she was Jenny from the Block. The movie was fantastic as was the music. Here we have a new tv show based on the singers life. We’ve not started it yet, but the reviews have been good.
Like a Boss (Amazon)
2 friend with different ideas on how to run a business, go into business together. They are in trouble financially and the offer for a buyout seems to good to be true. It’s absolutely hilarious.
Tiny Pretty Things (Netflix)
Set in the world of an elite ballet academy and follows the rise and fall of young adults who live far from their homes, each standing on the verge of greatness or ruin. One for the dance fans of course. There will be 10 episodes full of drama and then some.
Soul (Disney+)
Joe lands the gig of his life at the best jazz club in town. But one misstep lands Joe in a fantastical place: The Great Before.
Downhill (Amazon)
Stars Will Ferrell so you can expect to laugh throughout this one. After barely escaping an avalanche during a ski holiday in the Alps, a family is thrown into chaos as they are forced to re-evaluate the things they hold dear, as well as their true feelings for one another.
