We know that the sunshine has left the building, for now, but we thought we would share with you our favourite suncare products that we used over the weekend. Now we have to admit, we haven’t been big on suncare in the recent years and we’ve always opted for quite a low SPF, but ya know, we’re not getting any younger and we’re trying to prevent early ageing. So we’ve joined the factor 50 club! We decided to go for Soltan this year (bye bye Malibu we love you), just because we’ve heard great things about the brand and by great things we mean protecting your from the sun things. So we gave them a go. We have to say although we miss the coconut scent of Malibu, Soltan gave is fabulous protection. We know it was factor 50 so we didn’t expect any sun to get through that, but it lasted he whole day. No redness, no nothing. So we were very happy about the. We’re taking it on our holibobs this year, we’re that impressed. We went for the cooling suncare spray for the body because it’s transparent and we don’t want to look all pasty. The spray itself was nice to rub in etc, but one you’ve rubbed in one arm your hands are all lotioned, so getting ay spray action is hard work. The face sun cream was really good as it rubbed in effortlessly and surprisingly acted as quite a good make up base.
At the moment these products are buy one get one half price in Boots – in fact all the suntan lotion products are. The face sun cream was quite pricey at £9 as it’s quite a small tube, but a little goes a long way. The body cooling spray was around the £6 mark, so we only spent £12 in total.
