14 Of The Best New Movies To Get Excited For This 2020

14 of the best new movies to get excited for this 2020

Last year was a pretty great year for movies with Frozen 2 and Cats coming just to name a couple and this year looks set to be even better. We mean – does it get any better than a Bad Boys movie coming out? Nope, no it does not. The previous 2 were absolutely brilliant, so we can’t wait to see what they’ve done, so many years down the line.

Bad Boys for Life
We’ve only been waiting forever for the movie to be made. We haven’t had enough of Bad Boys yet and we really enjoyed the previous two movies growing up. This time round Lowery is having a mid life crisis and Marcus is a police inspector. They have to, of course fight a bad guy and we hope save the day, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
Release date: 17th Jan

Bombshell
We’ve seen it – it’s great – so powerful. The cast is absolutely fantastic – Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron. They are all incredible. Definitely worth the watch this weekend.
Release date: 17th Jan

The New Mutants
Apparently this one is a horror movie as 5 young mutants try to escape from a secret facility that they have been kept in.
Release date: 8th April

Black Widow
The first instalment of the Black Widow’s story from the Marvel universe. We finally get to hear her story and see how she ended up as she did. We’re pretty excited to watch this one.
Release date: 1st May

Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey is about the DC comic character Harley Quinn (Played by Margot Robbie). The movie is told by Harley herself when she forms and unlikely foursome with Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya. They have to band together and take down the bad guy.
Release date: 7th Feb

Wonder Woman 1984
Following on from the last movie, Diana finds herself in conflict with the Soviet Union in the Cold War. Also Chris Pine is in this movie, we can’t wait to see how that happened.
Release date: 5th June

Top Gun: Maverick
We are saying nothing about this sequel, except we think it is about time that they did one and we’re written down July 17th in our diaries.
Release date: 17th July

DoLittle
This is the first movie for Robert Downey Jr after his Avengers exit -sob! But it’s a good one. This is the Dr Dolottle adaption of the man who can talk to animals. He goes on a big adventure and meets some amazing animals along the way.
Release date: 7th Feb

Mulan
Have you watched the trailer yet? We actually cried. Haven’t seen this since we were kiddos and it definitely has a different meaning to us now than what it did way back then.
Release date: 27th March

No Time to Die
The latest James Bond instalment – and the last one for Daniel Craig (apparently). The movie starts with James Bond living his best life in Jamaica after quitting active service. However that is of course short lived, when an old friend turns up asking for help.
Release date: 3rd April

Legally Blonde 3
Well this one was news to us – does Legally Blonde need a 3rd movie? Probably not, but we’re intrigues to see what they do with it. We do hope to see more dogs and more of the bend and snap!
Release date: 8th May

The Witches
OMG – this is another remake that we didn’t know was being re-made. Of course it is an adaption of the Roald Dahl novel.
Release date: 9th Oct

Halloween Kills
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a scary movie coming out is it? And we have another Halloween instalment coming out. With Jamie Lee Curtis.
Release date: 16th Oct

Coming 2 America
This year seems to be full of sequels and it even includes Coming to America. We can’t wait to see what they do with the long awaited sequel. Eddie Murphy will be reprising is role of Prince Prince Akeem Joffer. The cast also includes Wesley Snipes.
Release date: 18th December
