Movie review: The Witches
Anyone else in their 30s dying to watch the remake of The Witches? We certainly were and of course watched it today. It did not disappoint.
As expected a remake will never be good as the original, but it was definitely time to update it for the kiddos to enjoy just as much as we did way back then. The 2020 Witches remake is much of the same, but different.
Although the premise is still the same. The main differences being the CGI. Honestly it was needed to make Anne Hathaway (The Grand High Witch) super creepy. We enjoyed the addition of snakes into the movie, that made it so much horrible to be fair – we hate snakes. We also think that it might just terrify some kiddos. The only thing that we would mention is that we didn’t think that the part where the witches take of their wigs and shoes had as much of a OMG factor on us that the original. We were so shocked. Obviously we were a fair few years younger ha ha!
It would definitely be interesting to hear what an 8 year old thinks of it, that’s for sure. If you’ve watched it with your kiddos, let us now what they thought.
