Wow, just wow! We weren’t too sure what to expect after we saw the preview for Sausage party, but it certainly wasn’t that! For those, not in the know, Sausage Party, is an adult animated movie. When we first heard about it, we thought, what on earth were they thinking, why would they make an adult animated movie – seems a bit weird to us. Most animated movies are directed for the kiddos, with jokes that are aimed at the adults, but this one is 100% not for kids. Not one bit, not at all. There is so much swearing, that you couldn’t even get away with letting them watch the preview.
The story is based around Frank the sausage (Seth Rogan) and Brenda the hot dog bun (Kristen Wiig). They love life at the Supermarket and their life goal seems to be to go home with a happy family, until one day they find out what will happen to them and that they will eventually become a meal. Frank informs the food of their new fate and they all start to panic, humans are now their enemy and they must escape. The story then follows as such as they try to hatch a plan and meet some other foods on the way – Teresa taco was absolutely hilarious! In fact the whole movie was hilarious. Who knew food thought about sex so much.
This movie is definitely not everyones cup of tea, it’s very strange, how did a human brain come up with this? However it is laugh out loud funny! The world always needs something different right?
