Movie Review: Passenger

movie-review-of-passenger
Any movie with Chris Pratt is going to be on our watch list for sure and as Jennifer Lawrence is currently our fave actress we had to go and see what it’s all about.

It starts with a spaceship setting off on it’s 110 year journey to another planet – where 5,000 passengers have paid to start a new life. All passengers are put to sleep and placed in pods before take off where they will remain for the duration of the journey. But where is the story you ask – well – there is a malfunction in the ship – obviously. Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) wakes up 90 years early and faces having no one else to talk until he dies.

There is a love story (of course), there is a disaster (obviously) and crisis was averted (did you think we would say that) and then they lived happily ever after albeit on a spaceship with no other people.

It really wasn’t our cup of tea, the story was good, the acting was also good and we liked the robot, but it was very Gravityesque (2013), not really our cup of tea, would have liked to see a bit more of story, a little bit more wrapped up, maybe a couple more characters. But that wasn’t in the script.
