After dying to see this movie, hearing how many people cried and loved it, we were left slightly disappointed. It was a lovely story and the actors really were great, but there was something missing, something that just didn’t click, although we can’t put our finger on what that was.
The love story was a doomed love, straight from the beginning, but you learn so much more about it throughout the movie. So many of you said that you cried so much at the ending, but we were kind of left feeling angry, not sad. Angry at the way it was left angry at the way the characters left things, not about the way it was portrayed. It was a bit like the movie One Day – absolutely hated the ending – it wasn’t a happy one – that’s the ones that we like to see. However we’ve started to now read the book and we’ve got the sequel all lined up to be read as soon as we’ve finished the first.
It was quick paced, it was cute, it was sad, we can’t say much else as we will give away the whole movie for those of you that haven’t read the book.
