We are so late to be talking about Girl on the Train, it’s been out at the cinemas for ages now, but we were desperately trying to fit in reading the book before we decided to watch it. That didn’t happen as we got distracted by Halloween, so we went in to the movie knowing nothing about it at all. The only other movie we can relate it to is Gone Girl, same genre, a twist you NEVER see coming and such a thriller.
We would highly recommend this movie 100% for anyone who loves a good twist. There isn’t a whole lot that we can say about it without giving the whole thing away though. So we’ll just give you a short little snippet – Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) is recently divorced and still hung up on her ex husband. She travels on the same train every single day – which coincidently goes past her old martial home where her husband now lives with his new wife and baby. Whilst on her daily travels Rachel becomes enamoured with a couple whose house she passes day in and day out.
Whilst peeking into peoples private lives – she manages to find herself being witness to a few things she would rather not have seen – thats when the twist begins.
5/5 of from us, but we haven’t read the book, so we’d be interested to hear from you that read the book first, then watched the movie.
