So we were hugely excited to see this movie as we’re massive Harry Potter fans over here! The first thing we’re going to say is make sure you see this in 3D. We’ve never been hugely bothered about 3D before, but this was AMAZING! Also this was just one in three apparently which makes us even more excited.
We weren’t sure what JK Rowling could have done to top Harry Potter. She has opened up another door – although the same magical world, but in New York. They call Muggles something else, they have hugely different laws to the UK and they have a BAN on magical creatures,
Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is the main man of this movie, he heads to New York by boat with a magical suitcase full of magical creatures with the aim to write a book telling the magical world all about these magnificent and not so scary creatures. Educating them!
Of course it doesn’t all go to plan, animals escape – the funniest one being some sort of mole – platypus, hybrid who is obsessed with anything shiny! Mainly money and diamonds, but anything shiny will do. So he has to go on a trek around New York attempting to find the missing creatures so that The no maj – ‘non magical humans’ will not find out about magic and the magical world. He of course makes some friends on the way – one being the loveable and funny no maj and trusty sidekick and obviously finds a love interest which we’re sure we will hear more about in the following movie and we can’t wait to see! Hurry up and get writing JK Rowling.
The Fantastic Beats and where to find us movie gets a 5/5 from us and a must see stamp of approval.
