Movie Releases To Look Forward To In 2021

Movie releases to look forward to in 2021

We bet you didn’t think that there would be ANY movie releases to look forward to this year? Are we right? Well there are some fabulous movies coming out (fingers crossed). Many that got missed out because of Covid in 2021 – hello James Bond (now cancelled and looking like 2022) and also new movie releases in general. We won’t add any release dates because ya know – Covid and also we don’t know if they will be cinema releases or straight to streaming. Anywho here is ya list …

Wonder Woman 1984
Ok so this technically came out in 2020, but that was cinema release and who was going to the cinema in Dec 2020? Not us, ours was shut. It is now available to watch on Sky Movies – obviously to rent – £15.99 – what a bargain when you live alone and in lockdown (no sarcasm here). You can read out thoughts on the new Wonder Woman here.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife
80s kids will be extremely happy to hear that another Ghostbusters is coming your way. This one follows a family who move into the middle of nowhere and strange things keep happening. There is a connection to the original ghostbusters and some make an appearance. Going by the name of the movie – they might just be ghosts, but who knows.

Raya and the Last Dragon
This one is going to be released on Disney + and it’s animated. All about when humans and dragons lived at the same time. Then monsters are involved, the dragons save the world and sacrificed themselves when doing so. Then 500 years later they are needed again.

Cruella
So excited for this one. Emily Stone will be playing Cruella and if the movie stills are anything to go by it’s gonna be amazing. This movie follows Cruella stories and we get a glimpse into why she hates mans best friend so much.

In The Heights
The guy that created Hamilton is behind this movie musical. If you watch the trailer here, you will guess that immediately. This movie is the film adaption of the musical., that we know nothing about, but the trailer looks so good. We’re getting Step Up vibes.

Space Jam 2
Nostalgia at it’s best! This time the movie stars LeBron James as the NBA player who will find himself in the Looney Tunes world.

Jungle Cruise
Based on the Disneyland ride. Jungle Cruse stars The Rock and Emily Blunt who go on a journey down to the Amazon.

Halloween Kills
Jamie Lee Curtis is back with the Halloween movie you didn’t know you needed. We grew up with the Halloween franchise, which we loved. So super excited to see what happens with this one. This will be out in time for Halloween. Eeeek!

A Quiet Place Part II
We’ve been waiting for this movie for what seems like forever. The release date was pushed back so many times. The second instalment picks up where the first movie left off with Emily Blunts character trying to survive.

Black Widow
Another movie that we’ve been waiting for. Black Widow will be released this year – cinema or no cinema and we’re looking forward to it. Romanoff’s past catches up with her and she must deal with everything that she did as a spy.

West Side Story
We did not see this one coming? Did it need a remake? Apparently. This movie won’t be out till the end of the year, so with any luck that’ll be in the actual cinema – woo hoo!
