Review of the live action remake – Aladdin
Now first off – we went into this movie expecting to hate it, we loved Aladdin, we don’t like change and there was a new genie – sob. We left the cinema completely uplifted, loved the whole movie and the girl power vibe that we left the cinema feeling – similar to the Rocky running up the stairs vibe, like we could take on the freaking world.
The Genie (Will Smith) was great. He did take a teeny bit of getting used to, but we absolutely loved Will Smith as the genie. He did a great job and we loved all of the songs.
Naomi Scott who played Princess Jasmine did a phenomenal job. Her voice is absolutely amazing and her acting during the song Speechless was spot on (listen to song here) . It gave us all the feels.
The whole cast was very well chosen and we couldn’t fault the movie, not even one little bit. We loved the humour, the message it gives to all females and it really was a great movie, which deserved to be made again. And we are so glad that it was.
We’d give this version of Aladdin 100 stars out of 10 – seriously amazing, so nostalgic and just absolutely brilliant.
