We were invited down to the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel, this past week to test out their Twilight package. And what a package it was! It was amazing and relaxing and we could have stayed even longer. When we were arrived, we were taken through to the spa reception, where we were greeted by the loveliest lady. She kept coming back to check on us and making sure that everything was ok. She was one very happy lady.
After being shown around, it was off to the changing rooms to get onto our swimming gear and bathrobes. Girls + changing + robes = 6 very excitable girls. We headed straight to the swimming pool, where we took a quick dip, before we submerged ourselves into the jacuzzi for a little longer than suggested.
Next up – it was treatment time. We all opted for back massages and facials. They were amazing. All products used were Elemis. AMAZING! We all want to go back right now for a massage! Also the treatment beds were heated, which was absolutely amazing – we have never come across that before.
Next up, it was to the relaxation room. Where we sipped on different flavours of green tea. We can suggest the lemon and cranberry.
Then we came to the las part of our day – DINNER TIME! We went to the hotels Cyprium restaurant, where we were invited to sit at the Chef’s table.
All the chef’s hard at work. We opted for the Italian experience on our night, which as you can see from the menu above, it was quite the experience. There were a few more options to choose from, which you can view here. The head chef came out to talk to us before each course was served. We were warned that there was a lot of food and if we needed to slow down just let them know.
We started off with a meatball soup – which was like drinking gravy – AMAZING. We were ready to take on all of the courses and after the first, we were lulled into a false sense of security. Then came the antipasta and caprese salad – what did we learn here?! DO NOT FILL UP ON BREAD. Ha ha! The next course of smoked salmon and asparagus open raviloli was one of the best things that we have ever tasted. Just brilliant.
At this point we had to have a break, which meant a perfect excuse to have some vino. The next courses were all as good as each other and we were well and truly stuffed by the time pudding came round. However, that didn’t put us off for long. The tiramisu was probably the BEST that we have ever tasted. Our waitress for the evening, was one of the nicest cheery ladies ever. She was funny, talkative and so so friendly. If only we could remember her name.
The day at the hotel was absolutely amazing. If you fancy treating a certain someone to a relaxing day or just want to treat yourself we couldn’t recommend this place enough. We’re already planning our next outing to the spa. Definitely check out the Elemis treatments – amazing.
Thank you to all of the hotel/spa staff who were just so friendly and inviting, definitely made the experience even better.
