How To Preserve Your Pumpkins This Month

eastbourne halloween
If you’re anything like us you will have bought your pumpkins already – mainly for decoration, however we bought ours at the end of September with no intention of eating them. We can’t take the credit for this – we did a quick internet search and the clever lady at 365ishpins had a very informative post. You can check her blog out here . She suggests that you pop your pumpkins in a little pumpkin bath – 10 parts water and 1 part bleach. Let soak for 10 minutes, dry with a cloth and then buff with Vaseline to make them shiny. And there you have it – non rotting pumpkins. We will also be doing this next week when we do pumpkin decorating. You can’t have a rotting glittery pumpkin now can you.
