Preparation
As always, everything in life is about prep – with lips being a big thing this season (literally) thanks to Kylie Jenner – prep is now essential. Especially as Matte lips are the go to. We suggest Lush’s lip scrub for starters. It’s messy, but essential for a flawless lip base. You simply apply with your finger (over a sink if poss) and exfoliate.
Primer
We are only just coming around to the world of primer. We know for a foundation base it’s a must, however eye lids and lips? Who knew. We suggest this one from Marks and Spencer. Although a swipe of lip balm may just be enough – whatever works for you.
Liner
Once you you’ve mastered the art of lip liner, you’ll realise that it is an absolute essential in getting bigger lips. Now you don’t have you line them the Kylie Jenner way (outside of the lip line), a normal lining of the lip line wil suffice. if you struggle with this, start with the bottom lip, then go to the cupid bow and concentrate on the outline and fill in the rest.
Highlighter
Highlighter for lips you say – well it’s all about playing with the light. For this we use Topshop’s highlighter cream in Glow, with a lip brush. We apply the highlighter cream on the outside of lower lips and also on the outside of the cupids bow. Remember to blend this.
Seal
Add a bit of gloss to the look to make them appear slightly fuller and your all set.
