The best thing about the darker, colder night are the nights that you get to spend cuddled up on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn watching your favourite movies. The second best thing is that fact that it means that Halloween is soon and what better way to celebrate that with watching your favourite Halloween movies. Here are a list of our must watch movies. We started on the list at the weekend, with out ultimate faves – Hocus Pocus and the The Craft. If you haven’t seen them, then you are seriously missing out.
Hocus Pocus
It stars SJP, it’s about witches and it’s the best Halloween movie around. It’ll take you straight back to your childhood and have you googling all the actors to see where they are today. Seriously google Thackery Binx.
The Craft
It’s just as good now as it was back then and it’ll have you wishing for girly sleepovers where you can give the now famous scene ‘ light as a feather, stiff as a board’ a go. We dare you. Don’t watch by yourself – you probably won’t sleep.
The Addams Family
One for all the family – stick it on – eat food and enjoy.
Harry Potter
Not our initial thought when talking about Halooween movies, but it has witches and wizards and pumpkin juice, so thats Halloweenie enough for us.
The Faculty
Unless your verging on 30, this might be a new one to you. With the gorge Josh Hartnett and some super scary aliens, it’s worth a look.
Practical Magic
If you ever wanted to be a witch as a child (lets face it we all did), this is the one for you. It;s a love story, but with witchcraft. And no matter how many times you watch it, you’ll never remember the ending, so it’s like watching it of the first time, every time.
Halloween Town
One for the kids, its a good old Disney movie about a young girl who is a witch and doesn’t know it. The story unfolds on Halloween (obviously).
Scream – Anyone of them
The first is obviously the best, the second and third are also worth a watch, but are so predictable its almost pointless. Great if you’re not that into scary movies, this is no scary enough to be watched by the wimps among us.
