Thanks to the lovely sunshine over the last couple of days, it has had us wishing for that Summer glow. We haven’t touched any sort of fake tan since November. It has been far too cold and the onesie has been worn at all times. Standing in the bathroom tanning wearing absolutely nothing has not been on the agenda. Now back to the sunny weather – today a coat wasn’t actually needed and looking at pasty arms was not fun – especially pasty ketchup bottle arms – so tonight will involve tanning and so will the next few months i’m sure – well until the natural glow comes back.
Now since we last spoke to you about tan, we have had some newbies enter our tanning basket and have quickly become the go to tan. Stand up Bondi Sands – stand up! This tan has only just ventured int the UK market, however it is one of Australia’s most loved and we can see why. The biscuity smell is still apparent, but mixed with a lovely coconut scent. It’s a bit strange at first, but you’ll grow to love the duo. We went for the dark mousse and the colour wasn’t as dark as expected – which was probably a good thing, in hindsight, we should have gone for a medium colour. The tan itself lasts for a good few days and comes off gradually, ready to start all over again. Next up for the newbies is the Decleor gradual tan – this was a gift and used as a moisturiser – no one cottoned on until we realised we had a beautiful tan in the middle of January. It’s a good one – just watch out for your hair line – eyebrows and give in between your fingers a really good wash afterwards. Now on to the old schoolers – Cocoa Brown one hour tan – great for a girls night out – doesn’t last all that long – 2 days we’d say – however the colour is a lovely golden and in no way orange. Then there is the trusty fave – St Moritz mousse. This tan is cheap and cheerful as is actually ok for everyday use – if you can be bothered. We go between medium to dark – medium in face dark on legs and top it up after it’s dried of the full colour isn’t there.
And there you have it – the tanning holy grail – which one will you be using this Summer?
*All can be bought in Eastbourne – except Decleor – which can be found in Brighton/ Tunbridge Wells and online.
