Treasure Island have released a little Fort Fun update over on their FB page and here is what they had to say ….
“Thank you for all of the kind comments we received after announcing that Treasure Island (Wingrove House Ltd) was given the opportunity to operate part of Fort Fun site (alongside Defiant Sports).
We appreciate everyone wants to see Fort Fun softly open again as soon as possible…and we do too! Unfortunately though, we have encountered many obstacles since we were granted the license to occupy: such as extensive roof damage (flooding), electrical problems (resulting in the building requiring a full re-wire), constant vandalism (break-ins) and numerous safety issues, all preventing us from moving forward at the pace we had originally planned.
We are currently in the process of securing the building with custom built security shutters, windows and doors. All electrical work will also be completed soon with a new alarm/security system installed. Once this work is completed, we will begin on the interior details; installing new carpets, re-fitting the kitchen/toilets, refurbishing the soft play, the reception area, the kitchen and the party area.
As you can imagine, this will take a few more months to complete (we will keep you posted on our progress) but we do sincerely appreciate your support, patience, understanding and hopefully your custom in the new future!“
Not the best, but not the worst news. Still some time to wait until the kiddos can enjoy Fort Fun again.
