We love a little gimmick, which is exactly what this little candy floss cocktail is. Also it’s a little bit showy offy with the glitter and the candy floss and the fizzing – you’re friends will be so impressed. The first thing to overcome is – where on earth can you buy candy floss – we failed miserably on this one and ended up getting it from the bandstand Christmas market. Then all you need is prosecco, edible glitter (Hobby craft), red and white striped straws – optional (Dunelm) and then you’re all set.
Fill a saucer with water, pop the rim of the champagne glass in the water and then dip the glass into the glitter. We chose red glitter because – Christmas – but of you’re saving these for new years – you could go for silver. Once the glitter is all in place, pop some candy floss in the glass then pour prosecco on top preferably with an audience – because you want to amaze people. If you want a pink tint in the champagne add more prosecco, if you want it to stay prosecco colour then just add a bit. Lastly grab some more candy floss and just pop it on the side of the glass to make it look all pretty.
