Feast In The Vines: Brand New This Summer, An Unmissable Experience From Roebuck Estates

Sparkling Wine brand Roebuck Estates has announced a stunning duo of ‘Feast in the Vines’ events

Brand new for 2024, premium English Sparkling Wine brand Roebuck Estates has announced a stunning duo of ‘Feast in the Vines’ events – an exquisite culinary experience, nestled in the heart of Roebuck’s breathtaking secret vineyard in West Sussex; a magical setting that is home to an extraordinary collection of wildflowers, deer, hare, birds and so much more, and which is not otherwise open to the public.

Looking out across the vines, guests can enjoy a wonderful afternoon taking in the wonderful sights and sounds of Roebuck’s exhilarating surroundings, whilst enjoying their vintage sparkling wines accompanied by a delectable feast prepared by a talented local chef.

The first Feast in the Vines event on Saturday 3 August welcomes talented Sussex-based chef Emily Sacco, with guests invited to indulge in delicious platters of slow cooked meats hot off the coals, along with an enticing array of homegrown vegetable dishes and freshly prepared salads, followed by a savoury or sweet treat for dessert; while on Saturday 17 August, The Sussex Chef will present a carefully curated menu celebrating the incredible produce that Sussex has to offer via a mouthwatering banquet like no other.

Both Feast in the Vines events cost £80pp and include a two-course meal, together with a complimentary glass of Roebuck sparkling wine served on arrival. Roebuck sparkling wines are then available to purchase by the bottle and glass. Book online at roebuckestates.co.uk.

Established in 2013 with its first sparkling wine launched to huge acclaim in 2019, Roebuck perfectly marries together its vision to create premium sparkling wines from the finest English vineyard sites, leaving only the lightest footprint on the environment. Whilst its renowned range of sparkling wines have gone on to win multiple awards and are served within some of the world’s most prestigious settings, Roebuck has sought to minimise its environmental impact every step of the way, with conservation and biodiversity at the core of all that they do.

Throughout the summer and until mid-September, visitors can also enjoy some of the most magnificent southerly views towards the South Downs via a visit to Roebuck’s home vineyard, close to the picturesque market town of Petworth in West Sussex, just a stone’s throw from London ((c. 59 minutes from London Waterloo to Haslemere, a short taxi ride away).

It is the jewel in Roebuck’s crown and home to their oldest vines, planted in 2006, with Classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier leading the way and bringing elegance and finesse to Roebuck’s award-winning vintage sparkling wines.

Sunset Sippings, from £25pp: Selected Friday evenings, 1730-2030, until 13 Sept 2024 – see here for dates and to book

In addition to this year’s Feast in the Vines, Roebuck also offers ‘Sunset Sippings’, when guests are invited to watch the sun goes down over the breathtaking landscape whilst sipping Roebuck’s exceptional range of vintage sparkling wines. Each Sunset Sipping ticket includes a complimentary glass of Roebuck on arrival, together with a reserved seat within ‘The View’, Roebuck’s welcoming tasting area, which is situated in the heart of its spectacular vineyard with panoramic views all around. Wood-fired pizza from just £7pp is available to further enhance the experience, with the option to purchase wine by the bottle or glass throughout the evening.

Tour & Tasting, from £25pp: Selected Friday and Saturday dates until 14 September; timings vary – see here for dates and to book

For those who want to understand more about the landscape and its influence on some of the UK’s leading sparkling wines, Roebuck offers a tour of their picturesque home vineyard, followed by a tutored tasting of their delectable range. Every wine tells a story and Roebuck will tell you the story behind their Classic Cuvée, Rosé de Noirs and Blanc de Noirs, while guests sample a chilled glass of each, gaining a greater understanding of each vintage and the winemaking techniques deployed to create such perfection.

“The home of Roebuck is quite simply extraordinary, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to invite people in to have the opportunity to experience it for themselves through our programme of special summer events,” says Pip Mortimer, Events Coordinator at Roebuck Estates.
