When life throws you a burger, eat it …
Lucky Beach: What
Sometimes, just sometimes, we leave Eastbourne – I know – it shocked us too. However we love Brighton and we also have a Brighton lifestyle website, which needs updating. So we thought we’d do a food review on our new favourite place to eat in Brighton. The place in question is – Lucky Beach. We were just walking on the beach and thought we would drop in. The food at Lucky Beach is mostly locally sourced (where possible), and sustainably managed. One random thing – toilets are amazing – so cute and clean and quirky – go and check them out.
Lucky Beach: Food
As predictable as this is and to be expected – we went for burgers. Which were absolutely INSANE. They have a couple on the menu, but we opted for the LBB burger. Which contains organic local beef, lardo onions, ketchup leather, kombu cheese fondu, pickles, unami butter and truffle brioche. It was absolutely perfect – PERFECT. The pickles came out because we hate pickles in a burger and in general. Other than that 10/10.
For sides we chose Lucky Beach fries – which were skin on skin fries and came with garlic mayo. You have to have these, but we’d suggest you double up – they are so good and YOU.WILL.WANT.MORE. We also went for queso mac and cheese which was so great and again we would have eaten more if we ordered more – but you live and you learn right?
We will definitely be going back as the whole menu (which you can check out here) looks absolutely insane. The crouching tiger chicken burger will be next on the list, if we can resist the LBB burger, which we’re not sure we can.
Lucky Beach: Drinks
The drinks are so cute and so pretty – right up our street. Who doesn’t want a mimosa with flowers in whilst sitting on the beach? We mean, if you’re one of the minority who doesn’t then just don’t order one (ha ha). We opted for passion fruit mimosas, which were absolutely delicious and only £6.30.
Lucky Beach: Where
Lucky Beach is right down on the seafront. You can eat outside on a sunny day and take in all the beach views (the new wind turbines) and just soak up the Brighton atmosphere. For an exact location – you can check it out here (Google maps link).
Winter opening hours are:
Mon – Fri: 9am – sunset
Sat – Sun: 8.30am – sunset
As always if you go to Lucky Beach, let us know and tag us in your pictures on Facebook of Instagram.
