Eden Mill Distillery St Andrews is continuing its partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the national governing body of British tennis, following a successful season last year.
After serving the most popular cocktail across tournaments last year – the Eden Mill G&T – Eden Mill will continue to be the official spirit of British tennis at several upcoming matches.
Eden Mill’s limited-edition Wildcard Gin – created for tennis fans – will be served alongside the brand’s alcohol-free ready-to-drink range at four major international grass court events.
Infused with locally sourced Scottish strawberries and raspberries, Wildcard Gin will be available at public and hospitality venues at Queen’s, Nottingham, Birmingham and Eastbourne – the tournaments which lead up to Wimbledon.
Stella Morse, Eden Mill’s CEO, said: “Both Eden Mill and the LTA have a shared respect for heritage and a passion for connecting their communities and audience, and our partnership presents a perfect synergy.
“Ahead of the opening of our incredible new distillery on the University of St Andrews’ Eden Campus, we’re looking forward to bringing our unique story and range of ginsto new audiences for a second year with the LTA.”
The partnership will include onsite branding and experiential activity for the second year and a consumer promotion at two pubs in Fulham close to Queen’s. A scratch card will be attached to all glasses of Eden Mill Gin serves, with the chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to attend the Championship at Queen’s.
Gary Stewart, Head of Commercial and Operations at the LTA, said: “With the British grass-court season just around the corner we’re looking forward to continuing our successful collaboration with Eden Mill.
“The limited edition Wildcard Gin was a big hit with fans last year so we’re delighted to be able to offer a great range of options to fans again throughout the summer.”
A selection of new serves featuring the Wildcard Gin have been created this year, including The Ace, with strawberry syrup and raspberry and orange blossom soda added to the limited-edition gin for a light and refreshing serve.
Eden Mill will also be bringing a taste of the summer to select venues in Scotland and London with a selection of gin serves perfect for the warmer weather. Its Garden of Eden Mill installation will feature ornately decorated flower archways as part of a takeover at the different bars.
As well as being available at the LTA matches, Wildcard Gin can be purchased via the Eden Mill website at £35 per bottle. It is best served with a premium tonic and garnished with a handful of strawberries, raspberries and a slice of lemon to create a crisp and fruity summer drink.
