Eastbourne’s Cosiest Pubs

cosiest pubs in eastbourne
When the weather is cold and all you want to do is stay inside and wrap up warm on the sofa – head on down with your family/ friends to have a bite to eat or a couple of drinks. We asked you on Facebook –  What are the cosiest pubs in Eastbourne – and this is the list that you came up with.

The Dew Drop Inn
It’s delightfully random in there. You never really know who you’re going to see, but there always seems to be a good atmosphere with a fire – so that’s a bonus. Great range of beers and ales to choose from if you’re looking for a pint or two.

The Dolphin
The Dolphin is the perfect Sunday lunch visit. If you get there before the crowds and manage to be get near the fire then your lucky. If not you’ll just have to settle with the fantastic food. Served in a lovely, friendly atmosphere. It’s a great hide out from the cold and obviously the perfect place for a pint prosecco.

The Farm
The open fire is definitely the reason to visit The Farm on a chilly winters day – it’s so cosy – especially if you’re lucky enough to get the table by the fire. Not for the faint hearted though, or if you don’t like being Barbados warm whilst eating. Luckily we do. The staff are friendly and the food is great. We always, always get food envy when we’re here. A must for a Sunday roast also, although they don’t give you much gravy, unless you ask for extra.

The Lamb
Is snug and cosy – perfect for a cold, wet winters day. They have a fireplace, which is a winter pub must in our books. The food is pretty awesome – especially their massive hot dogs.

The Marine
Best known for their AMAZING Christmas decorations – if you haven’t been throughout the Christmas period, then you really must pop it in your diary for the end of the year. The food is great, it’s a pub pub and that is that. Great place to hide from the cold after a stroll on the seafront.

The Merrie Harriers
A bit further out that the rest, but The Merrie Harrier should really not be missed. It is the perfect little country pub. It is also the beginning and the end of a dog walk trail. So it’s the perfect excuse to steal a dog or bring your own and then relax all afternoon in the pub. You can take your dog inside with you, but you have to stay in the bar area.
