5 Wedding Social Media Mistakes To Avoid

Social media is just another thing that needs to be taken into consideration now with regards to wedding etiquette.

So here are five social media wedding mistakes to avoid during the day

1. Posting photos of the bride before she walks down the aisle
We’re sure you’ll be so excited snapping away throughout the getting ready process with the bride, but do not, whatever you do post a picture of her on social media during this time. You might accidentally post the first picture of her in her wedding dress before she even gets to walk down the aisle.

2. Ignoring the bride and grooms social media requests
Some weddings come with a social media ban. That can be for a million reasons. From not wanting any pictures of Facebook except the ones that they post themselves, or they simply want you to be there and enjoy the day. The wedding photographer is there for a reason and will capture everything for you.

3. Fighting with the photographer to get the best view
The photographer is being paid to do a job and you are not, Sooooooo get out of his way and let him to his thing. The last thing the happy couple want to see when they check out their wedding pics is a sea if iphones and a picture of them.

4. Being on your phone the whole ceremony
It’s easy to do – group chats, Facebook, emails, Instagram, before you know it you’ve missed them say I do and you’re not being present during the speeches and dinner. Just pop your phone in your bag on silent or off.

5. Snapchatting the whole day
It’s nice to keep some memories from the day, some being the operative word, but you do not need to Snapchat or Instagram story the whole day. Especially the evening antics, some people may not want to remember what their drunk wedding dancing looks like.
