Eastbourne School Announces Late Start For Monday Morning Ahead Of This Sundays Football

Eastbourne school announces last start for Monday morning ahead of this Sundays football

We’ve seen various school around England have been offering a last start on Monday morning so that the kiddos can enjoy the England and not wake up grouchy for school on Monday. So instead they will be letting the kiddos come in at 10.30 without getting marked down as late. We have just seen that an Eastbourne school has also jumper in on this and announced on Facebook that they will be doing the same.

This is what Roselands & Stafford have said …

Dear Parent/Carers,
If your child is a football fan and likely to be staying up until after 11pm on Sunday to watch the final, then we recognise the importance and value of this.
Therefore, we are happy if you choose to keep your child in bed a little longer on the Monday morning to do so and then to bring them into school at a slightly later time – they will not be marked as absent. We do ask that all pupils are in school by 10.30am.
School is of course open at the usual time for everyone – the choice of a later start time is entirely up to individual parental choice.
If you do bring your child into school later then please use the main gate at either school as you will need to press the buzzer so the school office can bring them in and get them signed in safely. This is Woodgate Road for Roselands.

You can read the full statement here. If your kiddos school is doing the same thing, drop us a message and let us know.
