Over 50% rise in drinking rosé ahead on National Pink Day
Celebrate National Pink Day (23rd June) this year with a pink tipple from award-winning retailer Aldi. Thanks to fine weather and an increase in male drinkers, Aldi’s rosé wine sales have spiked by +56% in the last month, and this is expected to continue as shoppers look to celebrate all things pink this week.
Rosé is certainly the drink of the moment, with over 4.5million Instagram snaps tagged #rosé, and its popularity shows no signs of stopping. Indeed, last Summer 1 in 8 bottles of wine drunk in the UK were rosé, and the IWSR and Wine Intelligence predict overall sales will be up +50% this year.
