Ganges: What you need to know
Ganges is the Indian down the harbour – right above Pablos. It’s in the most beautiful setting, with fantastic views and a great atmosphere. The staff are so polite and friendly and also don’t mind taking a million pictures until everyone is happy with the group picture.
Ganges: The Food
We think that it is safe to say that Ganges might just be the best Indian in Eastbourne. Everything was so amazing and so well cooked, and the taste was perfect. We, as always, started with popadoms and and the dips that they bring out with them – there were 3 dips, but we can’t remember what they were – one was green though – most of us swerved that one though. The food we went for was the usual chicken dansak, lamb bhuna and a chicken pasanda. All were absolutely amazing, the pasanda was sweet, the dansak was sweet and sour and the bhuna wasn’t too spicey, that we couldn’t eat it. And the rices – it’s ALL about the mushroom rice.
Ganges: The Drink
We don’t tend to drink much when eating an Indian, usually we stick to the water and then have a glass of wine at the end. Soooooo the water was good (ha ha) as was the lemonade.
All in all we highly recommend Ganges – and quite possibly give it a full 10 out of 10 rating.
