Champagne and Culinary Pairing Masterclass with Charles Heidsieck – Maverick Encounters
The award-winning Champagne House Charles Heidsieck are pleased to announce the start of Season Two of its epic events series ‘Maverick Encounters’ which highlights today’s’mavericks’ – entrepreneurs who push boundaries, buck traditional trends and thrive in the face of adversity – attributes reflected in the House’s legendary and innovative founder, Charles-Camille Heidsieck.
The first maverick of the series is Douglas McMaster founder of the waste free restaurant SILO in Brighton. Guests are invited to enjoy an intimate culinary experience and champagne masterclass. Upon arrival, they will be welcomed with a glass of Charles Heidsieck Champagne and will be let in on champagnes best kept pairing secret – bread and butter. Guests will then take part in a waste-free butter straining masterclass seasoning their own bespoke portions, which they will then be able to take home.
Douglas and Charles Heidsieck Executive Director Stephen Leroux, will then carry out a champagne bread and butter masterclass, pairing SILO’s famous sustainable sourdough and seasoned butters with an assortment of carefully matched Charles Heidsieck cuvées.
