Another little Easter recipe for you all. This creme egg brownie recipe was so ridiculously easy, that even we didn’t mess it up. And it tastes absolutely, freaking amazing! You’ll definitely slip into some kind of sugar coma, but it’s totally worth it. They look ugly and definitely do not take a good picture, but you need to make these.
What You Need:
* 1 box of brownie mix
* 1/2 cup golden syrup (we don’t have scales)
* 1/4 cup softened butter
* 3 cups icing sugar
* 1tsp of vanilla or more – we went a bit crazy
* Yellow food colouring
* 1 pot of chocolate icing
Make the brownies following the brownie mix directions and allow to cool.
Get together your golden syrup, butter and vanilla and whizz it all together. Slowly add in your icing sugar bit by bit until it’s all used up.
Transfer half of the mix into a separate bowl and add the yellow food colouring.
Spread the yellow mix evenly on top of the brownies and the pop in the fridge for 10 – 20 minutes until set. If the yellow mix isn’t setting, pop it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Once set, get the rest of the mix and spread that evenly on top of the yellow mix, then put back in the fridge/ freezer.
When that is set, heat up the chocolate icing in the microwave, the spread all over the top. Et voila. You can eat it then, or put it back in the fridge until you’re ready to eat it. This melts pretty quickly so don’t leave it out for too long.
We hope you make this over the weekend, it’s so so so good!
